Hobo Queen II

Hobo Queen II

In March 1945, the Army General Staff approved Gen. George C. Kenney’s request to test the B-32 in combat. Kenney selected the 386th Squadron to fly the bomber. Two test planes reached Clark Field on May 24, 1945, with the third test aircraft landing the next day. This photograph shows HOBO QUEEN II (#42-108532, Profile #36) at Clark Field on May 24th.

The 312th Bomb Group’s B-32 story starts on p. 303 of Rampage of the Roarin’ 20’s.
