Wing Damage

312th Bomb Group A-20 wing damage

The 387th Bomb Squadron accompanied the 386th to Dagua on May 15, 1944. Ground fire damaged the A-20G flown by 2/Lt. Nicholas E. Daviscourt with his gunner, Sgt. Norman E. Ables. Back at Gusap, the landing loosened a fuel line, and the starboard engine caught fire. The squadron sent the aircraft to a service squadron for repairs.
